Champagne Alain Bergère Champagne Alain Bergère

Introduction

Alain Bergère Champagne is the fruit of a long family tradition whose origins date back to 1650. Today the estate stretches over 14 hectares at Etoges, south of Epernay and at Mont-Saint-Père in the Marne Valley.

The three champagne varieties are represented. Chardonnay comes from vines on chalky soil situaded at Etoges (the “Val du Petit Morin” to the south of the “Côte des Blancs”). Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier come from vines situated at Mont-Saint-Père (clayey-lime soils) and at Essômes-sur-Marne (sandy soils) in the Marne Valley. In addition to these, the estate has planted a small plot with Petit Meslier, an old Champagne variety.
